Cricket Marshall shoots 12 sixes to set new world record

West Indies' Xavier Marshall has become the first batsman in cricket history to hit a dozen sixes in a one-day match as he blasted 12 sixes enroute to his unbeaten 157 against Canada here.
The Caribbean batsman's incredible feat destroyed a 12-year-old record as he eclipsed Sanath Jayasuriya's record of 11 sixes set in 1996.

22-year-old Marshall also plundered 11 fours and clubbed with Leon Johnson and Brendan Nash in 128-run and 111-run partnerships to guide West Indies to set an imposing target of 303 in 50 overs.
