Usain Bolt runs 9.68 for World Record in 100m



Usain Bolt (born 20 August 1986) is a Jamaican sprinter, reigning Olympic champion over 100 metres and 100 metres World Record holder. This record gives him the unofficial title of "fastest man on earth". He recorded the current world record at the Beijing Olympics 2008, achieving a time of 9.69 seconds, beating his own time by 0.03 seconds, winning by 0.20 seconds, slowing down and celebrating before the finish.[2] He also is the world junior record holder in the 200 metres (19.93 s), and Jamaican record holder in the 200 metres (19.67 s). His name and achievements in sprinting have earned him the media nickname "Lightning Bolt".
